Many USB turntables also have a stereo Line-Out -- usually two RCA connectors, one red, one white. Those can be connected to your entertainment sound system in the connectors for Tuner, Tape or Line-In. That's a good way to set it up as it means that you can also listen to records without switching...

Also, some USB turntables have a volume control hidden on the underside.
