Re: Amplifying very very low audio
Amplification and Noise Removal are the correct tools for the job. There is a limit to how much improvement can be made, but if you could upload a SHORT sample (just a few seconds) that includes both "noise only" and "voices", then we may be able to give some suggestions of setti...

Re: Need help with new mobo audio chipset - VIA HD Audio
You have correctly set your computer up to record from the "Line Input". However, it looks like you are trying to record sounds playing on your computer (from the "Gom Player") and not from the "Line In". "Line In" is a physical input connection - on full-size...

Re: Can't detect lame_enc.dll on Windows 7
Yes you can delete it, but then: Download the ZIP version of Lame from here: http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ Extract "lame_enc.dll" from the ZIP file into the Audacity 1.3 beta installation folder (should be in "Program Files") Restart Audacity Go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Li...

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
Try this: wave-info.ny After installing and restarting Audacity it will appear in the "Analyze" menu as "Wave Info..." You may want to check the accuracy of the results against the "Wave Stats" plug-in. Data from the "Debug" window can be copied and pasted int...
