Check your sound card settings.
I presume that your mixer is connected to the Line-in on your computer?
If so, check that your sound card is set to record from "Line" and NOT "Stereo Mix".

Are you sure that has anything to do with Audacity?
Try closing Audacity, checking the MIDI playback, then relaunch Audacity and test it again.
