Are you describing a "buzz" like it is picking up an extra "buzz" sound from somewhere, or are you describing "massive overload distortion"?

The method is the same as for recording other sounds that are playing on the computer. Ideally you would make a "Stereo Mix" recording. Unfortunately "Stereo Mix" is often not available on Windows 7, in which case you would need to use a workaround. See here: http://wiki.audacity...

A couple of possibilities: You could be recording at much too high a level. The recorded waveform should have peaks up to about half of the height of the track. My guess is that you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 and the UCA-202 is set to mono in the Windows Control Panel
