Re: Removing hiss from HD video recording
You may not be able to, but let's look at the options:
1) Are you able to import the files into Audacity and have them play correctly?
2) Are you only concerned with audio or are you wanting to clean up the sound on video files?
3) Have you read this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Noise_Removal

Re: USB Turntable ?
Audacity 1.3.12 (beta) is the correct version for Windows 7 and should work. I have a very garbled, static type recording in the playback from the computer. Does that sound like there are tiny bits missing from the recording, and at times loud bursts of "static", or does it sound like it i...

Re: Export data
Exactly what "data" do you want? Sample values and sample times?
What's the exact name of the "effect" that you are looking at?e023230 wrote:I have seen that I can export some data from "ANALYZE" in a text file but can't reach the time data.

Re: Length of recorded time changes
That looks like a lot less than 0.3 seconds difference.
If you look at the times in the "Selection Toolbar" at the bottom of the main Audacity window (set it to hh:mm:ss +milliseconds) it will show the times to the nearest millisecond.
What sort of file are you importing? MP3?

Re: Windows7 64 bit "High Definition Audio Device"
The only recording devices in the Control Panel Sound dialogue are Microphone (not plugged in) and Line In (not plugged in). I've right clicked in this box and checked "show disabled devices" and basically there aren't any. In that case your sound card does not support "Stereo Mix&qu...

Re: Huge gaps in recording - corrupted file?
Without sitting next to you while you are working I'm not sure exactly why this is happening, but I have an idea of what it might be. Go into "Edit menu > Preferences > Import/Export" and set "When Importing Audio Files: Make a copy...(safer)" See if that solves the problem (do l...

ecord a few sections, do the necessary tweaking, save them as separate files... Do you mean that you Exported them as files (such as .WAV files)? The "Save" function in the File menu does not "save files" it "saves Audacity Projects" (and the difference is crucial). an...

Would Outlook Express be a better email server? No. Even if your e-mail service provider allows you to post huge files, it is likely that many of your parishioners will be unable to receive them due to limits imposed by their e-mail service providers. 24MB is a very large download for anyone using ...
