Re: Audacity Nyquist tutorial anywhere?
I hope this is not bad news for me. I really think I need to access each sample value as it appears in say a wav file. Edgar didn't say that you can't access each sample. He said that ... well you've already quoted what he said. :) Normally it is preferable to operate directly on "sounds"...

Re: exporting to mp3 (already have lame installed)
What format are you exporting them as?
Do the exported files play in Media Player?
Do the exported files play if you import them back into Audacity?

Re: how to turn down recording level???
Unfortunately some manufacturers are still shipping their turntables with a very old version of Audacity. I would highly recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.12 http://audacityteam.org/download/ Regarding the recording level issue. Some USB turntables have a volume control hidden on the unders...

Re: Go To Next Label
I've run up against the same issue myself. The "correct" method is a rather convoluted procedure of Tab, cursor Up/Down and ENTER keys. There's got to be a better way.

I've not been able to reproduce the problem, but I'm also wondering why it matters?

Re: Apply Chain Error (lame_enc.dll cannot be found)

Re: Commands Not Working
Make sure that Audacity is "stopped". Most commands are unavailable when playing or paused.
Check that there are no other dialogues open (perhaps hidden behind the main Audacity window).
