Re: Batch process mp3 files

You could do this using SoX http://sox.sourceforge.net/
It's a command line program so you would need to write a script to run it.

Re: Error on line 93, Unwordwrapped...no line 93?

I would also recommend upgrading to Audacity 1.3.12, and keep an eye out for 1.3.13 which is due for release soon. (there are still some characters that 1.3.12 has trouble with and 1.3.13 should fix these). Another possibility is that if Audacity 1.2.6 crashed you may have a truncated or mashed .AUP...

Re: Bass Rolloff

A "pop filter" between the microphone and your mouth can help prevent pops.

Re: Audio input level much too high!!

EDIT: I just made a test on XP, the level is very close to distortion and I can't adjust any of input and output levels. In that case the problem is with the turntable. Windows XP does not add any gain to the signal from USB audio devices, so what you get is what's being sent from the device. If th...

Re: Using chains to insert silence at start and end of file

Was this ever solved? Did you find another solution not using Audacity? Adding this feature to Audacity is quite a major project and will not be happening before Audacity 2.0 comes out. If you are comfortable with command line programs and batch scripting it is possible to accomplish the task using...

Re: audacity error

It does not make sense that the sound works if no audio device is installed.

Re: waveforms lopped off at top - audio distorted

I don't think we are going to be able to offer help or support for Audacity 1.2.6 on Vista. It is known to have multiple problems and bizarre behaviour on Vista so none of us use it.

Re: Case sensitivity

Shall we start calling you Alice :D On Windows (XP), if the zip is just opened to view the contents it shows 1 folder with 4 files. When attempting to extract the zip, each folder and file will replace previously extracted versions, so you end up with one folder with one file in it. Regarding the pl...

Re: Audacity for Android 2.1 - maybe a fake ?

To date, mobile devices that use Android have not been powerful enough or had big enough screens to run Audacity. As new, more powerful devices become available it may become viable for software developers to port Audacity to Android, but for the foreseeable future this is unlikely to happen as many...

Re: Professional Editors?

I am probably missing it somewhere, but are there any Professional Editor's out there who work as Freelancers doing Audacity Editting? I would love to be able to record the audio I need, send it to somebody who is really good, and get a great edit/mastering job done on it for a few bucks. One issue...
