Re: combine 2 tracks with incr vol on only 1 track
Upgrade Audacity to version 1.3.12 http://audacityteam.org/download/ Click on the name of the track and from the drop down menu select "Split to Mono". Adjust the volume of the tracks using the track volume slider (in the box at the left end of the track). Take care that the combined volum...

Re: Flipping stereo channels?
Click on the track name and select either "Split Stereo Track" or "Split Stereo to Mono" (doesn't matter which). Click on the track control panel (the box on the left end of the track) of one of the tracks, taking care to avoid the sliders (somewhere round about where it says the...

Re: Separating audio tracks when exporting
The problem is either how you are making the CD or how you are playing the CD.
Are you trying to make a normal audio CD that will play on most stand alone CD players?
What program are you using to make the CD?

Re: Noise and wide blue band instead of digitalizing LPs.
That would appear to suggest that the problem is due to Audacity, but before you reboot the computer or change anything on the computer, could you have another go with Audacity just to confirm that Audacity still gives the same problem.

Re: Noise and wide blue band instead of digitalizing LPs.
Kludge job indeed - I had one for about a year and it was mostly OK, but every now and then it would do a similar thing as this sound card problem - everything would look fine but the data would turn to garbage and nothing would put it right short disconnecting and reconnecting the modem then reconn...

Re: Noise and wide blue band instead of digitalizing LPs.
USB mice or keyboards are not likely to be a problem as they don't put out much data, but I've heard reports of problems when using USB devices that have higher data throughput such as USB broadband modems.
