Re: Downloading problems.

i intended to download the audacity 1.3.12 Oops - you've posted to the Audacity 1.2 part of the forum - I'll move it to the 1.3 section. The correct download site for Audacity is here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ It is safest to only down Audacity from the official Audacity web-site. The actu...

Re: my theme is unusable (too dark).

With any alpha software it is worth being cautious. The Audacity 1.3.x series is getting close to becoming 2.0 (and has been for quite a while). It is in "feature freeze" so that all development efforts are going into ironing out bugs and wrinkles for the 2.0 release, making it a relativel...

Re: Old turntable, low volume

When you record from the turntable you will need to move the switch on the UFO 202 to the "phono" position.

Re: Is a faster computer better ?

Steve didn't mention this, but live recordings soak up hard drive space in a hurry. CD quality music goes by at about 10MB per minute. If you have a modest hard drive you may need to be very careful how you do music production. Audacity will not run into a full-ish hard drive and it will not work i...

Re: Help! I can only record one stereo/mono audio track

Audacity really needs to record to an internal hard drive. External hard drives can cause problems as there is no guarantee that they will be accessible when Audacity needs them (which is all the time while recording). How much free disk space is there on your internal hard drive? What is the total ...
