Re: Help With Behringer XENYX X1204USB
There are potential bear traps if you try to output from your computer sound card into the mixer while using the mixer as the audio input to your computer. Also, unless you have upgraded the sound card in the computer then you will probably get better sound quality by using the Xenyx for both input ...

Re: Plugin-like support in audacity
I think the "Scripting Module" (only in recent 1.3.x versions of Audacity) may be what you are looking for. I don't know much about this, but there's a brief mention on the Audacity wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Scripting_Module For more information about this you will probably n...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
I'm in favour of it going onto the wiki now, but when Audacity 1.3.13 is released I think it should be updated to take full advantage of the recent improvements and bug fixes in Audacity.Gale Andrews wrote:Is this about ready to go to Wiki now?
Re: no audio
I have downloaded the latest version of Audacity and I am still not getting any sound while trying to record. What am I doing wrong. I push the record button on and then play on the tape converter, it's playing but no sound and no recording. If you're using the latest version of Audacity you have p...

Re: Loop question
Or perhaps not. The WAV format specification does not include loop point information, so looping programs are using a custom format to support this feature. However, not all looping programs do this in the same way, so there are different "standards" depending on what program you are using...

Re: Some issues with mono files
Where did these MP3s come from? Do you know what encoder was used to make them? MP3 files always have a little bit of silence added to the beginning (it's a limitation of the MP3 format). If the beginning of file does not start from silence, then you will probably get a click where the added silence...

Edgar wrote:Yes, sounds good. I really suggest you find a tool (I do not recall if XP has one built in) to make system images. That's a good idea. I prefer open source and free programs so any recommendations would be appreciated. There's a list of possibilities here: http://www.thefreecountry.com/...

Re: Sound Soap tries to open....
If you have a trial version of Sound Soap installed, Audacity will attempt to load it.
If you don't want that to happen, the easiest solution is to uninstall the Sound Soap demo.
