Re: Snap to tempo

There is a feature request for "Snap to beats"
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests

If that would accomplish what you want I can add your vote.

(I agree that this would be a very useful feature)

Re: oops! problems with equalizer

The Equalizer can be set to a neutral "flat Eq" setting by clicking on the "Flatten" button. To restore the original pre-set curves list: Close Audacity Search your computer for the file "EQCurves.xml" You will need to enable searching for hidden files because by defaul...

Re: Linux IDE for Audacity

Re: Weird Sound Output

What I'd like you to do is to make a short test recording with Audacity 1.2.6 and a test recording of exactly the same thing with Audacity 1.3.12. Please ensure that the recording contains both some actual sound and some "silence". Ensure that you use the same sample rate, the same export ...

Re: Can't hear previous tracks while recording new ones

For multi-track recording "Software Playthrough" should be OFF (not selected). As Trebor has indicated, Software Playthrough always produces some delay and is unavoidable. Have we established what sort of computer, what operating system, what sort of sound card? With the exception of USB m...

Re: Help needed recording Vinyl, results sound harsh

With respect to the Quality settings in Audacity should I set both the 'Real time conversion' and the 'High quality conversion' settings to High quality synch and dither to triangle? "High Quality Sync Interpolation" and "Triangle dither" (or "shaped dither") are good ...

L's voice simulation

In response to a question here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=53822 Here's a plug-in that simulates the voice of "L" I've no idea how accurate this is to the real "L" voice - I'd never heard of L 'till today :P Here's a sample of the effect: L-voice.flac ...

Re: Selecting different/multiple tracks

This means that you can't write a plugin like "do this with the first track, do another thing with the second track" and so on. If several tracks are marked with the mouse then Audacity applies the same effect to each marked track one after the other. Not strictly true if you write a plug...
