That looks like an Audacity 1.2 installation folder.

Have a look and see if there is another Audacity folder in C:Program Files
It may be called something like "Audacity 1.3 (beta)" or "Audacity 1.3 Unicode"

You don't need to know what the levels will need to be.

You've got all the tools, it's really just a matter of familiarity and practice now.

That's not due to Audacity, it's something that Windows does when you plug in a USB audio device.
