Re: binaural audio problems
I'm getting one steady tone on one side and another steady tone on the other. If you select the "Nyquist Prompt" effect from the Effects menu, you can create the exact effect of a 70 Hz tone on the left and a 72 Hz tone on the right by copy and pasting this code into the Nyquist Prompt box...

Re: Distortion Analyzer
about the '1/(sqrt(2)', you're right, this is the correct value. but the difference is really small, just 0.01dB or 0.0008 in absolute value. this will have no effect in the THD percentage output at the current resolution of 0.001%. and more is probably senseless, most AD converters will have more ...

Re: LAME vbr mp3 export wasting space
For me, adding the -b 32 option doesn't reduce the file size any further at all compared to not adding this option, so I presume the -b 32 is correctly applied by Audacity. I agree with your observation, but I think the inference that you are drawing is incorrect. If MP3packer is run without the -b...

Re: Undo/Redo shows list of commands
It seems reasonable to me to keep the "History" in the "View" menu. This seems to be the conventional location for it.
However, I think it would be a good idea to rename it "Undo History" rather than just "History".

Re: Automating fade-in/fade-out of labeled tracks with Envel
Yes that's it, I need to add two seconds before and after the music starts, based on the material that is already there. This could be done with Nyquist, but it will be slow, and heavy on memory usage (not suitable for long tracks). An alternative is to use SoX for this also. There is a discussion ...

Re: HELP !!!!! PLEASE......
If you use a Behringer UCA 202, then as I said previously, it's a "no frills" device.
There's no input gain control - it's just straight in and straight out, but that's not a problem if you're connecting a mixer as the output level from the mixer can be adjusted.

Re: Raspiness filter?
It's an Xbox 360 headset. I can't afford good equipment at the moment. Koz has had some very good results with a $15 USB microphone - I think it was a "Logitec" USB mic. Re. the "Raspiness" - if you want to reproduce the distortion effect on the "fox" voice, ...

Check near the bottom of the Transport menu and ensure that Software Playthrough is not selected.
