I'm hoping that you have a multi-track recording with the female vocal on one track, strings on another track .... but I'm betting that you haven't. If all of the sounds are already mixed together onto the same stereo track, then there's not a lot that you can do to one sound without also doing it t...

The best way to do this is probably to do one track at a time.
Record the game track first, then overdub the voice track onto a new track.

Currently the only way to do that is with cut and paste.

Select the audio that you want to move AND the label, and cut it.
Select the place on the audio track AND the label track where you want to move it to, and paste it.

I think that I'd try a (much cheaper) splitter cable first and only resort to more expensive solutions if a simple splitter cable is inadequate. As long as you check what sort of plug each piece of equipment requires a local music shop should be able to help you with the correct cable.
