Re: Unable to export /convert MP3 files
What exactly do you want to do? Do you just want to convert some WAV files to MP3, or do you want to edit the WAV files and then convert them to MP3? If you only want to convert WAV files to MP3, I'd recommend that you use a standalone encoder such as winLAME http://winlame.sourceforge.net/ (it's fr...

Re: Delay On Input Audio
You may be listening to the sound of the bass after it has done a round trip through Audacity.
Go into "Preferences" (Edit menu) and in the "Audio I/O" tab, if "software playthrough" is selected, de-select it.

Yes, that is odd.Shmeinak wrote:The thing that throws me the most is that it works great until I hit record.
Could you have a look in:

and say what settings you have in there.

Re: Audacity to CleanUp MP4 Video?
Editing and cleaning the sound track from a video is pretty much the same as working on a recording from a cassette tape. See here for more information (and check out the links on this page) http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Transferring_tapes_and_records_to_computer_or_CD#Recording.2C_editing_and_e...

Re: plays stereo, records mono
I've deleted audacity and reinstalled it and I'm still having this problem. I don't know why so many people try reinstalling Audacity in the hope of it fixing a problem. I've yet to see one case where un-installing/reinstalling Audacity fixed anything. What operating system are you using? Are you u...

Re: Windows 7 - "An Unhandled Exception Occurred"
If I was to install audacity on the mac side of my computer and open it up with audacity on my mac, would the mac version of audacity be able to open up a windows-based project? There is no difference between an Audacity Project on any platform. The only difference is naming conventions for files a...

What is the full name (including the extension) of the file?
If you right click on the file and select "Properties", what does Windows say about the file? (please include any information given on the "Advanced" tab.

Re: Unable to export /convert MP3 files
If there are no audio tracks in the project then that is normal. You can't export an empty project.skj wrote:When I launch Audacity and click on "File" all of the export selections are grey (not highlighted).
