Re: Quick Question concerning track length
Are you using Audacity 1.3.12 (look in "Help menu > About Audacity") If you are, press Ctrl+F to zoom out to the F ull project, then look on the time line above the track. Alternatively select the entire track (double click on it) and look in the time boxes near the bottom of the Audacity ...

Re: Exported MP3 stops playing after 16 min
And I presume that the 25 minutes that is imported sounds normal? It could be a slightly damaged WMA file, and as FFmpeg's WMA support is still experimental it may be less fault tolerant than other converters. You could try converting the WMA file to a WAV file then import the WAV file into Audacity...

Re: Old CDs with bad DC offset
I ripped it to alac with itunes That should produce an accurate copy of the CD data, which suggests that whoever made the CD messed up. DC offset can usually be corrected by using the Normalize effect with Remove DC offset = selected Normalize maximum amplitude = Not selected. If imported files sho...

None of them seem to address grabbing online feeds. For "grabbing online feeds" (recording sounds that are playing on your computer), see these pages: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the...

Re: Vocal recording delay
Turn off "Software Playthrough" (near bottom of the Transport menu). If you're using a USB microphone, then unfortunately that will mean that you will not be able to monitor your voice through the headphones while you are recording (it's a limitation of most USB microphones). If you're usi...

Re: mic recording audio too low
I've had audacity for apx a month now and everything was going great. This morning I was working on a project and tried to record my speaking voice. Have you previously recorded your speaking voice, or do you normally just record vinyl? BTW, bgravato is correct, the recommended version of Audacity ...

Re: Is it possible to....
To clarify, you're not actually repairing clipping. If the audio was clipped before the process it will still be clipped after the process. Compressed audio files (notably MP3 files) may produce sample values above 0 dB when they are decoded to 32 bit float PCM (when you import them into Audacity). ...

Re: Boss RC 20 XL to Audacity
Recording the Boss Looper Station will be pretty much the same procedure as recording from a cassette player.

Re: walkie talkie/megaphone effect
Try the Equalizer effect. Try selecting the "amradio" setting.

Re: Can't hear
You've got both of them? Phew, that's good news :P Do not move them, do not rename them, do not do anything to them. Are other sounds playing OK on your computer? (Windows Media Player?) How did you make the recording? If you open the project in Audacity and press Play, do the green playback meters ...
