Re: Moving forward
I agree that it's been a long time since the last release (about a year) and we all very much look forward to the release of Audacity 2. Sometimes there can be a lot of work go into a project with little to show for it in the short term.
Re: Playback
Sound card settings are often to be found via an icon near the Time/Date on your Desktop.
If you can't find them there, look in the Windows Control Panel.
There's some pictures here that may help: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer ... trol_Panel

Re: recording problem
Probably best to throw out Audacity 1.2 (it's very old) and install Audacity 1.3.
You can get it from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: Creating MP3 files with track selection options for list
iTunes probably has some special mechanism for downloading multiple files, but I don't use iTunes. One way you could do it would be to pack all of the MP3 files into a ZIP archive. You could include a "playlist" so that the user can unzip the archive, then play the "playlist" and...

Re: WMA export problem
You've posted in the Audacity 1.2 part of the forum, but Audacity 1.2 does not support WMA.
