Re: Only recording left channel?
Is there any way to fix this issue? There's nothing to fix. I presume that you are using a mono microphone? Why do you want a 2 channel track? To create a 2 channel track: 1) Record the microphone in mono 2) Select the track (it should already be selected) 3) Ctrl+D (Duplicate the track) 4) Click o...

Re: Where is the input selector in 1.3 beta?

The referred-to page makes mention of Silence Finder and even shows its dialogue window but it doesn't say *how* to get there (i.e. through which top-level menu). Re: After noise removal I hear wind chimes.
I don't see your new clip, but I would suggest that you apply Amplify with the default settings as the first step. How much noise to remove is a matter of taste. If you try to remove all of the noise there's likely to be a lot of metallic bubbly sounds produced, so I prefer to leave some of the hiss...

Re: Version 1.2.6
I may be wrong but I think the problem is not in the 1.2.6 but in the computer. I think you're probably right. USB audio devices can sometimes be a bit temperamental. We have half a dozen USB audio devices at work, and they're really good most of the time, but quite regularly they will go AWOL. Eit...

Re: Overly Agressive Noise Reduction
Sorry, if it's that bubbly metallic sound, then it can't be repaired.
