The supplied "configure" script is not compliant with Windows. Someone might be able to cross-compile on Linux for Windows (but not me). That's a shame. (and not me either). There isn't anything here that helps is there? http://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/browse/audacity-src/trunk#t...

If you have 2 stereo tracks in an Audacity Project (as in your picture) and you Export, the two tracks will be mixed together and you will get double the volume and a lot of distortion. To export one of those tracks and not a mix of the two tracks, ensure that the track(s) that you do not want expor...

Press Ctrl+P to open up "Preferences".
Select the 6th tab.
From the selection box, choose your preferred language.

I'd also recommend upgrading to Audacity 1.3. (1.3.13 is due out in a week or so, so that would be a good time to upgrade).
