Re: RECORDING LOW BACKGROUND MUSIC W/ VOICE

You should be able to save an Audacity Project and when you reopen it, it should look and sound the same as when you saved it. If it doesn't, then you're probably doing something wrong. This part of the manual explains everything about Audacity Projects. Perhaps after reading this you may be able to...

Re: 1.3.x (Beta) with Mac OS X and Spitfish De-esser

These effects are PPC only. Since your on an Intel box, they will not work. Leland, could you give a bit more information about what effects can be expected to work on an Intel Mac and which ones can't. (If this is already documented, a link will be fine, but I've not been able to find it in the Au...

Re: How to change input level for Behringer UCA202

I'm pulling from the line out of a mixer. That's good - it probably means that you won't need any additional hardware (apart from perhaps a different lead). What make/model is the mixer? How is the mixer attached to the UCA 202? Are you using the mixer for "live" (PA) use at the same time...

Re: What happened to the click track

Please keep us informed on this. The best solution would be (assuming that the problem is a broken build) for the Puppy developers to fix the pet package so I'm hopeful that they will find time to look at the problem. Failing that, we may be able to help, but a major stumbling block is that I don't ...

Re: Storage problem v 1.3.13-beta

I doubt that the problem has been caused by Audacity 1.3.13. It's more likely that there's just an invalid character in the .AUP file.
Could you upload a copy of the .AUP file to the forum? (if the forum will not accept the ".aup" extension, just change the extension to ".txt")

Re: Vibrato Nyquist script

There's a plug-in that will do a variable "tremolo" (the amplitude wobbles with a tremolo effect, whereas the frequency wobbles with a vibrato effect). If you want the develop a true "vibrato" effect, this variable tremolo effect may give you some ideas of where to start. To crea...

Re: Wish List: Find Maximum

It was suggested by a poster in another thread of mine, that I post my request here. The original thread is at: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=55155&p=136576#p136576 As Edgar has said, there are a number of issues that limit what can be done with Nyquist. However, the reason that I suggested that you...

Re: taglib missing from 1.3.13 source code

Recommended Download * Audacity 1.3.13 release (source tarball) (.tar.bz2 file, 6.2 MB) This is our standard source tarball. It assumes your system has the necessary dependencies (libraries) installed (see below). For building on Windows, use: Optional Downloads Audacity 1.3.13 release (source tarb...

Re: How to change input level for Behringer UCA202

You need to reduce the input level to the UCA 202. The UCA 202 is a fixed 1:1 gain device, there is no volume control for it, so if the input is too hot it will clip (as you have found out) so the level needs to be reduced before it gets to the UCA 202. What are you recording from?

Re: Audacity 1.3.13 OK with Windows XP?

Bug fixes in 1.3.13 from 1.3.10 include: * Cutting or copying from a track at a given sample rate into a track at another rate resulted in speed-changed audio. * Generating inside a clip could modify the clip length or create spurious clips. * Recorded stereo tracks were only half the height of impo...
