Re: Ogg vorbis why mono?
I think that the normal channel mapping for AC3 is: 1) FL 2) FC 3) FR 4) SL 5) SR 6) LFE or 1) C 2) FL 3) FR 4) SL 5) SR 6) LFE You will need to check because not all 5.1 encoders use the same order. The simplest way would be to just use Front Left and Front Right and discard the rest of the tracks....

And if the Flash software insists you apply MP3 instead of WAV or other high quality format, you may be using the wrong software. Koz Flash is designed for web based media, so as darkhog wrote, it would be impractical to use uncompressed audio. I don't know if darkhog would be able to use Ogg Vorbi...

Re: Regular Interval Labels improvements
Features 1 and 2 should be quite easy to implement. I'll post something shortly to address these issues. I do see your point about Feature request #3 and it took me a while to find it when I first started using Audacity. However it is not (currently) possible because "Regular Interval Labels&qu...

Re: distortion
Then I recorded the same thing that was distorting (a bass part, played on my Casio keyboard) and it sounded fine. So what's the situation now? Is it working or do you still have the same problem? If you still have the problem, could you post to the forum a short example (just a couple of seconds) ...

Re: editing out sudden audience noise
A slightly more sophisticated method of repair is to "patch" the damaged area. To do this you need to find another part of the recording that is as similar as possible to the damaged section, then copy it and paste it to a new track: tracks005.png Silence the damaged area of the original t...

That will split an MP3 file without decoding, but there will still be a short silence at the start of each MP3. It's a limitation of the MP3 format.bgravato wrote:http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_page/home.php

Re: Silent finder "Nyquist did not return audio"
Could you try this test: Open Audacity Import or generate a track Select the track "Effect menu > Nyquist Prompt" Copy and paste this code into the "Nyquist Prompt" box (format nil "~a ~a ~a"(db-to-linear -6)(linear-to-db 0.5)(get-duration 1)) Click the Debug button. If...

Re: New plug-in effect - PopMute
I think that as this is (so far) just a one-off there's probably not much point in pursuing it at the moment as I think that we are unlikely to be able to locate the problem now. However, if it occurs again, please write back and we'll see if we can pin it down.

Re: Distored Recording Windows 7 64 bit
From the System Tray (bottom right corner of the desktop), open "Recording Devices" You should see something similar to this: http://bartus.org/akustyk/tutorials/images/recording_devices_W7.gif There should be a USB device listed. Right click on the USB device icon and select "Propert...
