It's not as bad on Linux as it is on Windows. At least they're not all in one really long list.
I've made an enquiry as to whether there is supposed to be this difference between Windows and Linux. I'll write back if I hear anything.

Re: Conventions for Nyquist Plug-ins
If possible, there should be a comment near the top of the plug-in code to indicate the minimum Audacity version required.

Assuming that:DVDdoug wrote:Or, run a cable from line-out to line-in and record line-in
a) The computer has a stereo line input (many laptops have only a mono microphone input)
b) Maschine does not grab exclusive access to the sound card (several posts on Google suggest that it might do this).

Re: Bit and Sampling rates - Real or Imagined?
My CD files recorded at 16/44.1 and compressed to Flac level 6 are in the 500/700 bit range but a 16/96 Vinyl recording average bitrate is around 1050 bits. That's the major down-side of high sample rates, the file size increases alarmingly. I must sound like a 4 year old repeatedly asking "bu...

Re: Vibrato
I just took a quick look at it, and tried to get a slow vibrato (approx 1 to 2 Hz), but entering 1.0 for Initial and Final speeds gave a result that sounded like about 10Hz, and entering anything less than 1.0 didn't seem to make any difference Thanks for checking it out, and you're correct, the vi...

Re: Noise Removal in a Chain
Noise Removal is not well suited to using in batch processing. Noise Removal attempts to remove a "noise profile" from the audio. The better the noise profile matches the actual noise in the audio to which it is being applied, the more effective the noise removal will be. If the noise prof...

Re: DC offset in Audacity?
Sorry about the delay replying. What I meant about "subsonic amplitude modulation" was that the problem waveform is not like normal DC offset, but looks more like the waveform was being "modulated" by a very low frequency. To be precise "modulation" is the wrong word, i...
