Re: Testing Plug-iN advice
I'm not sure if Audacity 1.3 does this, but Audi126 (which I use) is pretty "sketchy" about the input sliders. For instance, my updated plug-in had volume inputs set to "real" (aka decimal) with a default of 100 (in this case it was 100%). Well, when I checked the input module I...

Re: Ver 1.2.6 won't show input devices on mixer bar
1.3 doesn't give me that option on the mixer bar. I'm not sure if you mean the "Mixer Toolbar" or the "Device Toolbar", but you'll be pleased to know that they're both back in Audacity 1.3.13. Yes we know that there's problems with the input devices in Audacity 1.2.6, but we can...

Re: Sample rate help!
Yes it can be fixed - by the method described by Koz.
1) Open Audacity.
2) Import the track into Audacity.
3) Set the "Project Rate" (lower left corner of the main Audacity window) to 44100
4) Export as WAV.

Re: Audacity Media Creation
Computers don't create. People create. Computers and programs are merely tools.
Audacity can be used as a tool to create audio "works".
What are you wanting to do?

Re: Change Recording to 32kbps to 149kbps??
Option 1. Export the amplified file as a WAV file Option 2. Find the MP3 settings in Preferences. (Edit menu > Preferences) Option 3. Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13. In Audacity 1.3.13 you can set the MP3 rate in the Export dialogue screen by clicking the "Options" button. Option 4. Use "...

Re: Envelope tool "points"
I agree that the current method of placing control points is a bit awkward, but one thing that may help is to hold down the mouse button until the new point is in the correct place, then release the mouse button. While the mouse button is held down you can drag the new point around. If you've clicke...

Re: Help with audio quality
Try this: cleaned.wav The hardest part was getting a good "noise profile". There's a lot of background "sounds" (the door closing, something creaking, something else rattling,...) that are not "noise". Probably a good way to get a nice "noise" sample would be ...

I'm not sure that I understand your question.
If you don't want to merge them, just edit them one at a time

Re: Audio files don't show up in "Import Audio" dialog.
As Gale said, it will be (hopefully) fixed in the "Nightly" version which should mean it'll be fixed tomorrow. To install the Nightly version, just download the ZIP file and extract the contents into you current Audacity installation folder. (you will also benefit from a couple of other mi...
