I doubt that this is going to work in Audacity.
Audacity is not designed for "real time" processing and does not have the facility to configure "audio buses".
I think you'll need to use a full-blown VST host program such as Sonar, Cubase or Reaper.

Re: crash after ten seconds of recording through SPDIF-in
I'm having the same problem now, and for a test I started Audacity and started recording silence, it went 35 seconds before it shut the computer down. I doubt that you're having "the same problem". Audacity 1.3.4. Windows XP prof SP2 Terratec Aureon 5.1 usb mk II recording through SPDIF-i...

Re: Problems using LAME 3.98.2 on Windows 7
I believe I am already in pause mode No, you should not be in Pause mode. Audacity must be fully "stopped" (not pause) to be able to export. since I can't even click on the Stop button ??? why not? Could my exporting problems be related to my sound card? No. The sound card is not relevant...

Yes - this was in response to my enquiry on -devel.Gale Andrews wrote:In Conventions for Nyquist Plug-ins you suggest omitting the category
I've already e-mailed you regarding this, but feel free to reply either by e-mail or in the "Conventions" topic.

Re: Hi, I have 2 questions!!
My current setup is record deck --> Pro-ject preamp-->Asus Xonar D2 Line in-->Audacity with Asus Line in selected in recording devices. That should work very well. As for getting the best out of the card I'd recommend that you check out the Asus Xonar D2 forum: http://vip.asus.com/forum/topic.aspx?...

Re: Hi, I have 2 questions!!
This raises 2 questions: a) Is it no longer necessary/desirable to use a preamp and b) does it make any difference to recording quality whether you reduce the source output or the Audacity input levels? I can see exactly how you arrive at these questions, but they're not the right questions. When r...

Re: Hi, I have 2 questions!!
When recording I need to slide the input volume pretty much all the way to zero, otherwise it will record too loud (both quiet and loud music). Is this normal? No it's not "normal", but it's probably "normal for Vista" (and Windows 7). According to many users on this forum, thes...

Re: Applying a "stepped eq" to a wav track??
To do this manually, I guess I would .... OK, I've got a good picture now, and yes it can be done with Nyquist. As for how to actually write this in Nyquist depends a lot on the details of the effect. For the Eq settings, are you looking for a gentle boost to the specified frequency bands or are yo...

Re: Signal to Noise Ratios / Intensity Normalisation
I tried the code, by splitting my audio tracks to mono. Probably easier to just record the audio track in mono (unless you already have all of the "word" recordings). Alternatively you can use "Tracks menu > Stereo Track to Mono" which will "mix" the two channels to to...
