So what's plugged into those inputs? What are you trying to record from?rubberbrain wrote:@Steve: I have both a "Line In" and "Mic" inputs, both of which are enabled and have the latest drivers.
(If they say "not plugged in", then they are not available for recording)

Re: Hi, I have 2 questions!!
I have a pair of Tannoy Reveal monitors (original model). They're a bit light on the bass (compared with bigger speakers) so possibly not the best thing if you're listening to bass heavy dance mixes, but they are very "revealing", not at all tiring to listen to and I really like them. The ...

Re: Compatible with M-Audio Fast Track USB interface?
A UCA 202 will almost certainly be better quality than the on-board sound card, but there's no way that I can predict if it will cure the hum problem - that depends on where the hum is coming from. Audacity does not do any live processing. The Yamaha LS 9 has comprehensive Eq facilities, so if requi...

Re: RECORDING LOW BACKGROUND MUSIC W/ VOICE
OK to answer to your first question if I am speaking like talking to someone on the other side of the room, ?? Re: Multiple recording issues
Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13.
You can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/
Problem 1 is probably because the old 1.2.6 version does not support multiple sample rates in the same track.
Problem 2 is probably because your computer is too new for the old 1.2. version.

Re: "Error while opening sound device..."
I discovered that the Preferences dialogue was blank, with no options for selecting my audio input device. Audacity can only "see" recording/playback devices that are enabled in Windows. Check in the Windows Control Panel to see if your computer has a recording device enabled (see here: h...
