What operating system do you use?
Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity)
What are you recording from? Do you have it plugged in before you open Audacity?

Normalize
Does "Normalizing" this waveform with the default settings (Normalize to 0 dB with DC offset correction) produce DC offset?
What is the "correct" way to Normalize this waveform to 0 dB?

Re: Just needing a confirmation .. ? (micro recording)
If I intend to use a computer only with an external (or additional internal) sound card and never use the on-board sound card, I disable the on-board sound card in BIOS. This prevents the on board sound card from appearing as an option for all programs, and most programs will then automatically sele...

Re: Where to install the help files
How I installed the manual was to give myself group permissions to read/write for /usr/share/audacity Then I made a folder called "help" within that folder, then used the default archive manager (file-roller) to unzip the contents of the "help.zip" file into /usr/share/audacity/h...

Re: Where to install the help files
The manual is not included in the Ubuntu package.
The online version should be available by selecting it in the Audacity Help menu. (I don't usually bother installing the manual as the on-line version will always be the most recent version).

Re: Subliminal Messages
Sorry wellstated07, I'm not an expert in "subliminals". Personally I have doubts as to whether they "work" at all. My posts have been confined to how to use Audacity.

all I see is that I can set the db activation level That's correct. I thought everything else had already been covered in the previous posts. I've added your vote here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests#Highest-rated Sound Activated Recording (currently in Audacity Beta only) * Pre...

Re: Isochronic Modulator Plug-in
The name of the effect (in the first post of this topic) is "IsoMod..."
It will appear in the "Effect" menu (below the "line").
