Re: Can Audacity record and export with these specific setti
Yes you can. Set the "Sample Rate" to 8000 in "Edit Menu > Preferences > Quality" Set the "Number of Channels" to "1 (mono)" in "Edit Menu > Preferences > Devices" Make your recording, then Export (File menu > Export) as "WAV 16-bit (Microsoft) ...

Re: Is voice over batch recording possible with Audacity?
I can't think of any way to do that with Audacity. Do you have a budget for paid software for the job? How many files are you talking about? Do you have the female voice recording yet? As Koz points out, mixing in your "watermark" with the MP3 tracks will lower the sound quality of the MP3...

Re: Recording problem

When i playback the audio through audacity it sounds great up until the distortion of course. I know the record is not scratched because when it is played directly from my receive...

Re: New/improved plug-ins for potential inclusion in Audacit
It's certainly a lot more versatile than the previous "Easy Vocoder", but I'm seeing a lot of warnings about aliasing with the sine tone.

Re: How do you get rid of echo?
Echo is virtually impossible to remove, which is why recording engineers go to extreme lengths to avoid it in the original recording (unless they actually want an echo). Attempting to remove echoes is very likely to do more damage than good.

Re: Regular Interval Labels improvements
The reason that "Regular Interval Labels" is in the Analyze menu is because it is a Nyquist Plug-in . Audacity supports three types of Nyquist Plug-ins: Generate, Process and Analyze. Generate Plug-ins usually generate audio so Audacity puts this type of plug-in into the "Generate&quo...

Re: Good Gverb settings for song vocals?
For a fairly subtle vocal reverb using GVerb, try something like:
roomsize: 40
reverb time: 1.3
damping: 0.7
input bandwidth: 0.5
dry signal level: 0
early reflection level: -36
tail level: -30
