Re: Export to wav
For high quality audio the sample rate needs to be at least 44100 Hz. The A/D converter will use a very steep low pass filter to ensure that there are no frequencies above 22050 Hz prior to converting to digital data. In the early days of digital audio, the low-pass filters were not as good as they ...

Re: problem with clipping
I presume that there is an output level control for the headphone socket, in which case you could get a 1/4" stereo jack (TRS) plug to 2 x phone (RCA) lead and record from the headphone output of the cassette.

Re: CAN'T OPEN SAVE PROJECT
There could be a problem with the file encoding. If you still have the original "SuperHero.aup" file, try changing the wavetrack names yourself (lines 1215 and 1268 - <wavetrack name="Çâóêîâàÿ äîðîæêà" ) It's also possible that with all the messing around trying to fix the proble...

It is pointless "bumping" a topic before the topic has been approved as no-one apart from moderators can see it until it has been approved. There are no paid staff running this forum. The "staff" are Audacity users around the world, 30% of whom are probably asleep, and another 30...

Re: How to overlap .mp3 files
Import the files, then use the "Time Shift" tool to drag one track to the right so that it starts where the other one ends, then Export to create a new audio file. Note that each time you encode an MP3 file the sound quality deteriorates a little. It's better to work with WAV files and if ...

Re: Placing a track marker
"Markers" and "Labels" are the same thing in Audacity. During Record or Playback you can drop a "Marker" (label) at the current play position using Ctrl+M )don't forget to press "Enter" after typing any label text). For "marking" Cut/Splice positions...

Re: Reverb for Enclosed Spaces
I'm not very keen on the small room settings in GVerb (I think it does big room reverbs a lot better) but as Koz said, most reverb effects have a setting for "room size".

Re: overlap tunes
thanks...i've followed your instructions and got the tunes to overlap... Quick way to select the "Time Shift" tool is to press the "F5" key. Move the mouse over one of the tracks (you should see a cursor that looks a bit like <--> ) Click on one of the tracks with the left mouse...

Re: Can't Export Files
Audacity 1.2.5 is really ancient, so if it's a problem with that version of Audacity it's not going to get fixed. Try upgrading to Audacity 1.3.13. http://audacityteam.org/download/
