Re: Small audio waves and Clipping at -6db
In the Windows Sound control panel, ensure that the Scarlett is set to record 2 channels (stereo) and that the recording level is turned up to a reasonable level. While you're there, ensure that all Windows "Enhancements" are turned off (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_tr...

Re: "Just move to label" with Mouse
I propose that Alt+Left Mouse Button would "Just move to the label", without opening it for edit mode. Why not just click on the waveform to set the play cursor position? If you want to be lined up exactly with a label position, there is a yellow guide line to help you (and no need to use...

Re: Audacity not recognizing usb microphone at all
Your USB microphone must be connected to your computer before launching Audacity. You should then be able to select it as the recording device in the Device Toolbar . If you are still unable to record, ensure that Audacity has permission to access the mic in "System Preferences > Security &...

Re: What is Audacity Windows Store version?
The genuine Audacity release is available via the Audacity website: https://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ (downloads are served by our content delivery partner FossHub). "Audacity Windows Store Version" appears to be an old version. It is being distributed by "Blue Sky Softwa...

olay? Do you mean "overlay" as in "overdub"?
What is "it"?
What settings do you have in the Device Toolbar?

Re: MERGING SEVERAL DIFFERENT TEMPOS WITH BPM LABEL MAKER PLUG-IN
Yes I'd expect so, though I would recommend using "File menu > Save Project As" to make a new copy of the project with a new, unique name (so that you still have the original, un-merged copy as a backup).

Re: Flatline tracks – Audacity 2.3.3 on Os X 10.15.6
Aup file remains on desktop as it always has, together with the data files (in a folder that's 2GB in size). I'd suggest that you make a backup copy of those before doing anything else - it may not be possible to rescue the project, but we can try. I would also suggest updating Audacity to the curr...

The terminal workaround should no longer be necessary with Audacity 2.4.2, but Audacity does need to be granted permission to access the mic in

Re: vst plugins display only gray box
First question: can these plug-ins be used with Audacity? I don't know. Perhaps one of the Mac people can answer that. 2nd Q: how to remove them from the list if they are not compatible? Unfortunately this is not yet supported through the graphical interface. The only way that I'm aware of is to re...

Re: how to record the 2nd track with vocal only
I think the problem is that the f8 is mixing the USB input from the computer (the audio that is playing) with your live input, so both the live input and the audio playing in Audacity is being recorded. Unfortunately I've not been able to find a manual for the f8, so I don't know if it is possible t...
