How about using the switching box for your stereo and turntable into your regular sound card, and have your camera go directly into the video capture card?

You probably shouldn't be using Audacity 1.2.x as it's very old and has been abandoned for several years. You can get Audacity 1.3.13 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ I think that it will still probably default to Dutch /Flanders, assuming that is the "system language" for your...

I've tested Audacity nightly (downloaded today) on XP with a 2 hour mono track.
The computer is dual core 2 GHz with 1 MB RAM.
Creating labels and adding text are both immediate (no noticeable delay).

So what does the slider at the bottom right of the front fascia do? That's for adjusting the recording volume. I guess the solution is to get an amp between the deck and the computer. That would be one solution. Alternatively, if you've ever done any diy electronics, it would be easy to make a leve...

I don't know much about that capture card, but according to their website it uses a "Hybrid Capture Device driver", so I'm presuming that the same driver captures both video and audio. If these are multiplexed as one data stream, then Audacity (being audio only) would not know what to do w...

It would have been really easy to fix that if the two voices were on different tracks, but I'm guessing they are both recorded on the same audio track? If you could post a short section (just 3 or 4 seconds, but preferably in FLAC format) then we can have a listen to see what can be done. If it's no...
