Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (Look in "Help menu > About Audacity")

Re: One of 2 mics doesnt work on my Imac but on my Macbook
Yes, that's exactly what that adapter does, but that doesn't get from the three-pin connection on the bottom of the microphone. I'm searching for one of these... I think these are the ones: http://cpc.farnell.com/pro-signal/psg00758/xlr-socket-to-3-5mm-jack-plug-lead/dp/AV14244?Ntt=AV14244 http://c...

Re: Missing data in middle of files created
Is this crashing occurring with one particular project?
Does the project contain any imported audio files, or have all of the audio tracks been recorded?
Please give as much detail as possible - I don't think this is a known issue.

Just tried it here following your exact steps and it took about 30 seconds to export.
Where are you exporting it to and with what file name?

Support for Nyquist effects in Chains
How feasible would it be to add one Nyquist effect to the Chain menu? What I'm thinking of is for there to be a "dummy" Nyquist effect (possibly called "chain.ny") that can be added as an effect in a batch processing chain. If this could be done (preferably with the facility to p...

Re: Please help - need to urgently find a way to do this
You need "Sound Finder" which is in the Analyze menu in Audacity 1.3.13 http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Analyze_Menu#sound_detection You can get Audacity 1.3.13 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Note that Audacity 1.3.13 can open projects created by Audacity 1.2.x, but Audaci...

Re: Draw Tool grid Idea
Let me know how you get on with it, and if there's any additional features that I could add to make it more useful. I think it would be useful for there to be a lot more waveform generators in addition to the current Sine, triangle, square, silence and noise. If you have any suggestions / ideas abou...

For the benefit of other users that may have the same problem, perhaps you could describe exactly where the problem was and how you fixed it.

Re: How to auto-amplify in chain
That's absolutely true.
There's a proposal that "Normalize" should link stereo channels so that (by default) it does not alter the stereo balance. I presume that you would like to add your vote in favour of that proposal?

Re: i will pay someone to get white noise out!
By the way - an 8 hour recording is a VERY BIG file and working on it in one big lump will be really slow. Tomorrow we can look at splitting that 8 hour recording into more manageable sections.
