The other advantage of using Jack Rack is that you can combine effects (subject to your PC having enough horsepower) and tweak them while you listen.

I don't see it either. IMO that's either wrong, or written so badly as to be misleading.

My only issue with Calf Reverb is that apparently the settings on audacity interface seem to be ignored. I think steve has already mentioned something about this some time ago... am I right about this steve? Yes that's correct. If I'm planning to use the Calf effects (which are good), I use Audacit...

You have two option: 1) Quick and easy option. After running the filter, use "Edit menu > Clip Boundaries > Detach at Silences" If you use this a lot, there is a keyboard shortcut "Alt+Ctrl+J". 2) The more powerful method. Use "Chain" commands to process the files. http...

You've posted in the Audacity 1.2 forum, but Audacity 1.2 does not have "Chains". Please look in "Help > About Audacity" and tell us which version of Audacity you have (it'll be 1.3.something). What is in the list of Chain commands? (full details please so that I can try it here).
