One other little query; just wondering why the "Bass Loss Compensation" range is from 0 to 5.7 dB. "5.7" (rather than "6 dB") sound like a bit of an odd-ball amount.

Are your audio tracks in a low bit-depth format (for example 16-bit)? By default Audacity uses 32-bit float for audio, but if your tracks are in a lower "resolution" the the "silence" will not be absolute silence and Alt+Ctrl+J won't work. If this is the case then it may be easie...

I think that for a definitive answer on this you would need to check with Apple, though I would expect that you can use them for commercial work - after all, Apple don't prevent you from using Apple fonts for writing commercial documents.

Probably. I presume that they are under the same license as the rest of your operating system, whereas Audacity is GPL.

If Jack-Rack does not make use of multiple cores, you could probably get the same benefit by running multiple jack-racks. Forgot to mention, for Calf plug-ins there is a dedicated Calf host (Calf plug-in pack for jack) which provides much nicer interfaces for the calf plug-ins than when used in jack...
