Re: XENYX X2442USB
Half way there - we've established that Audacity IS recording, but for some reason it's not receiving anything to record. Double check in the XENYX manual that you have that set up correctly. In Audacity, go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices". What options are available and what is sel...

Re: reduce size of mp3 files
As far as I'm aware, the only way to change the compression quality of an MP3 is to decode and re-encode it, which I presume your software does automatically. The problem is that there is sound quality loss each time the data is encoded. So for example, if you encode at 128 kbps, some information is...

Re: Audacity exports empty wav/mp3/etc
The problem is in that click at 10.1 seconds. A quick test: 1) Close Audacity if it is open and restart it. 2) Open the audacity_test project. 3) Select the click at 10.1 seconds 4) "Effect menu > Nyquist prompt" and enter the code (clip s 1) 5) Export. On my machine the audio will then Ex...

Re: Recording from Stereo Mix
Select "Stereo Mix" in the Recording panel (your screenshot), then click the "Properties" button - you may then need to go to the "Advanced" tab (I don't have Win7 so I can't check). Look for the "Quality" settings and set it to "16-bit 44100 Hz stereo CD...

Re: Combining/Linking Delta 1010LT cards
It is definitely possible to use multiple sound cards with Audacity on Linux (using Jack), though I've never had a Delta 1010LT to test what the performance would be like. I've also read on other forums of people using a pair of these cards successfully with Ardour2 http://ardour.org/ On Windows you...

Great, that sounds really encouraging. May I encourage you to contact the developers via the -devel mailing list about this. If you wish to discus anything related to this with me off-forum, feel free to send me a PM (link below my name on the right).

Re: Digitalfishphones.com PLUG INS w/ Audacity
I'm not totally clear on the question.
How are you "pushing the signal to 3 dB" with the Equalizer? Could you post a screenshot?

Re: 16 v 24 bit noise floor
WASAPI has been in existence for almost five years now I see there have been a lot of bug fixes for pa_win_wasapi.c over the last 12 months. I'm not a programmer, (I'm just interested), in your opinion is support for WASAPI in Portaudio now reliable and substantially bug free? To put it another way...
