If you mean that the arm lifts off the record too early and if it's less than a year old, return it for an exchange or refund.

Audacity is known to have problems with non-registered FL plug-ins. The best solution would be to completely remove the plug-ins that were installed with FL.selwynkpaul wrote:I installed FL Studio 10 , and then uninstalled it, b'coz i didnt like it.

I use a Zoom H2. It's a bit over the price range that you specify, but the recording quality is very good and it can record in MP3 or WAV format. If you're trying to record "sounds that are playing on your computer", then you need to set Audacity to record from the "Monitor" of the sound card that you want to record from. Put Audacity in "Pause + Record" mode, then Audacity will appear as a recording application ...
