Re: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 393

The current Unicode version of Audacity is able to handle these characters, but only if the project file was made by a Unicode version of Audacity. If the original project file was made with an ANSI version, then the character encoding will be wrong for the Unicode version and the problem will still...

Re: Modulate one waveform/track with another (FM synthesis)

Steve says that the only way this can be done is to put one waveform on the left channel and the other on the right, and combine them to a single stereo track. I agree with him :D Make a stereo track with the wave to be modulated as the lower track and the modulation wave in the upper track. Typica...

Re: recording echo problem

If it's enabled, turn off "Software Playthrough". If you're using Audacity 1.2.x it's somewhere in "Edit menu > Preferemces", but I would recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13 and then you'll find it near the bottom of the Transport menu.

Re: corrupt Zoom H4n file

We're running out of options.
Try setting quite a large "Start offset" (say about 100000 bytes) and then try importing a couple of percent of the file.

Re: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 393

Lines 823 and 896 <wavetrack name="Zvoèna sled
changed to: <wavetrack name="Zvoena sled"

To correct these sort of problems you need to use a text editor that can show line numbers.
For Windows, try Notepad++ http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Re: Over Dub Issues Beta

If you have a "selection" (a track or part of a track selected), then recording will occur only up to the end of the selection. A quick way to clear the selection is to click the "skip to start" (<<) button before you start recording (or press the "Home" key on your com...

Re: Audacity crash when loading MP3

Problem is also I noticed this huge CPU consumption on my system. >.> CPU goes up 100% when Audacity is just left open. That's a known problem with WxWidgets 2.8.10. The current version of Mint uses Audacity 1.3.13 built with WxWidgets 2.8.11 in which that problem has been fixed, so the problem sho...
