Re: XENYX X2442USB

On the XENYX X2442USB there is a level meter (two vertical rows of LEDs). This should show a signal level that goes right up to the top of the green LEDs. The recording level in Audacity is probably not adjustable when recording from the USB input, so you need to adjust the level on the Xenyx so tha...

Re: Playback while recording stopped working

I'm not totally clear what the problem is that you are trying to describe. Are you saying that Audacity does not play back at all, or just that you can't hear the microphone while you are recording?

Re: CONVERTING CASSETTE TRACKS TO WAV

I've adjusted the mixing bars to reduce the ear-splitting sound coming in and going out The UCA 202 manual says: "The VOLUME control adjusts the volume level of the headphones output. Turn the control fully to the left before you connect the headphones. This helps you avoid the damage that is ...

Re: input selector blank

Try upgrading to Audacity 1.3.13 (it has much better hardware support than the old 1.2.6 version) http://audacityteam.org/download/
If you are using Vista or Win 7 then you should not be using 1.2.6 as it has known problems on more modern machines.

Re: Left & right channels reversed

You can swap the left and right channels by using the "Channel Mixer" plug-in, but it would be best to find out where and why the channel swapping is occurring, so see what happens when you play the sample posted by Koz.

Which version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help menu > About Audacity" - the full version name will be something like: "Audacity ® 1.3.14-alpha-Jun 14 2011 (Unicode)")
