Re: Audio cleaning please!
If you mean that you want the voice on the other end of the phone to be audible, then you'll probably not be able to get it much clearer than this: recording-extract.wav That was done by amplifying and then using the Equalizer to remove low and high frequencies. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Eq...

Re: Problem Recording with upgrade to 1.3 Beta
I think I understand your question, but could you post a couple of screen shots to illustrate the issue. There is a screenshot tool in the Help menu of Audacity 13. Make sure that the "Save Images To" location is somewhere on your local machine that you have write permissions for. Is your ...
Re: Time Line
You would be better to use Audacity 1.3.13. (the 1.2.6 version is well past retirement age).

Re: Voice removal - opposite effect
The Vocal removal effect removes sounds that are dead centre in a stereo mix. Quite often it is the main vocal that is in the centre and other sounds are panned some way to the left/right. In these cases the main vocal will be removed and the other sounds will remain. If you are getting the opposite...

Re: V1.3.13 stalls on W7 (32 bit) SP1
Is this specific to MP3 files? (If you don't have any audio files other than MP3s, make some test samples by opening Audacity, generate a test tone, and export several times in different formats).

Re: Audacity - no sound on playback (Ubuntu AND Windows)
When you record, do you have a wiggly blue waveform appear in the new audio track?MissouriMan wrote:1. Record Youtube and export as MP3.
If you do, does it play when you press the Play button (before you Export)?

Re: How do I merge WAV files?
Thanks for the step-by-step RA1, but just to note that those steps are not limited to Audacity 1.2.6. It works the same on Audacity 1.3.x. Audacity 1.2.6 is very old now (past retirement age) and I would definitely recommend upgrading to Audacity 1.3.13 (I use it regularly on XP and it is a lot more...

Re: Recording from a Digital Piano
It's a bit of a knotted option though, If you're wanting to produce a CD of your music, then yes it is. At some point the MIDI "performance" needs to be recorded (or rendered) to audio, and the best way for you to do that is to make an audio recording of your Claviova. So yes I agree that...

Re: Problem with G-Track Microphone !
The microphone is a mono device, so you should set Audacity to record "1 channel (mono)" when recording from the microphone. "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices". The recorded mono track will play through both speakers. For any tracks that you have already recorded, assuming that ...
