Re: Clipboard - Multi Track Editing
When you Export, all audible tracks are mixed into one continuous track. If you "clipboard" track is muted, then it will not be included in the mix (because there is no sound from that track). To export multiple audio clips from one track: Set that track to "Solo". (IMPORTANT) Ma...

Re: Clipping/distorted recording
It looks like we're on the right path. Next thing to do would be to run a full anti-virus and anti-malware scan (an "in-depth" scan that takes ages to complete). Have you tried going into the Task Manager and shutting down all non-essential programs and processes? (It's safest to go off-li...

Re: Multi Track Editing
Hi Riki. Create an empty (dummy) track of the same type as your other audio tracks (mono/stereo) and click the Mute button on the track so that it does not play. You can now use that as an extra "clipboard".

Re: (FC12 and)FC14 Recording Issues Audacity 1.3.13 under Gn
Moved topic to the Audacity 1.3 part of the forum. PS as an aside, when I finally exported the 'good' recording yesterday to MP3, it asked me for the track tags for each track, but didn't 'save' the common data. IE in my case I was recording an album, so the artist, year, genre, title etc were the s...

Re: (FC12 and)FC14 Recording Issues Audacity 1.3.13 under Gn
The first page of a Google search for FC12 brought up two hits for PulseAudio problems, so I'd guess that is a good place to start looking (unfortunately neither of those pages offered solutions). First look near the bottom of the Transport menu and ensure that "Software Playthrough" is no...

Re: Remove Q setting from high-pass / low-pass filters
All the references in the Manual say "rolloff" but that is the author's preference. That appears to be a recent change. Up until March 20th this page used the hyphenated version http://manual.audacityteam.org/m/index.php?title=Sample_workflow_for_LP_digitization&oldid=9364 I've tried ...
Re: error
You probably need to use the Unicode version of Audacity.
What operating system are you using?
Are you using a non-English localised operating system?

Re: Looking for 1.2.6 link
Audacity 1.2.6 will probably not work on a modern installation of Linux.

Re: Wafeform and buttons very small on screen
The button size in Audacity is not adjustable. The only way that I can think of that you have very small buttons is if you are using very high screen resolution. This is how it should look. I've put it next to Firefox so that you can see the relative size compared to other applications: (Ubuntu 10.1...
