Audacity will record whatever the computer sound system sends to it.
How exactly have you got the equipment connected and the software set up?

Ensure that you are using standard characters (a-z, 0-9, space, hyphen, underscore) in file names.
Using dots and back-slash are a major "no" on Windows (illegal characters).

Which exact version of Audacity are you using? (look in "Help > About Audacity")
