Re: Extracting audio from video - opens in mono only
That doesn't mean that it is stereo. If you listen to AM radio (Long wave or Medium wave) on a stereo radio, it plays through both speakers - but AM radio is mono. I suspect what is happening is that the video file has mono audio, but when you import it you are getting a stereo track that has audio ...
Re: Sound
I think you are using the LTIBLOX incorrectly. It is designed to reduce the output from a computer so that you can connect it to an XLR microphone input. You are trying to use it the wrong way round.
Re: Sound
We are using a LTIBLOX adapter If you mean this device: http://www.rapcohorizon.com/p-377-ltiblox.aspx then it's an output adaptor, not an input adaptor. It converts input from consumer grade equipment (laptop computers, MP3 players, CD players) to a mic level balanced output I don't understand how...

Re: Ubuntu 11.04 and ntfs. very slow

Re: Seeking Audacity compiled with ASIO /windows 24bit recor
There is another alternative, which is to install an operating system that does not have this limitation. I realise that you probably don't want to abandon Windows, but it is pretty easy to set up a "dual boot" system so that on boot-up you have a choice of booting into Windows or into a d...

Re: Lavalier Mic Recording in Car - Any Tips?
Headset microphones would probably give you better results in a car than lavalier mics. Is that an option?
