Re: Win7x64 SP1 install stops stereo mix
After installing SP1 it appears that it is often necessary to go into the Windows Control Panel and re-enable Stereo Mix. Information on this page should help: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel And/or this post: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php...

Re: Noise and wide blue band instead of digitalizing LPs.
This has become a mammoth topic. Without having to search through 5 pages of posts, can we just recap on a few items: 1) You're using Windows XP SP3? 2) The problem (as described in the title) occurs when recording from a UFO202. 3) The problem does not occur when recording from the computers sound ...

Re: Zoom-in, out, normal using command-1,2, 3 not mac-friend
Audacity has been using this shortcut combination long before Apple introduced multiple Desktops, so perhaps it would be fairer to say that Apple is not Audacity friendly ;) I'm not a Mac user myself, so I've no axe to grind here, but I'm surprised that if Command-1 2 and 3 are Mac defaults that the...

Re: Audacity Shutdown
This is a known problem with Audacity 1.2.x and is the main reason why it is not recommended for Vista or Windows 7.
Use Audacity 1.3.13 - you can get it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/

Re: alarm sound
I believe there is a tremolo effect you can also use. "Tremolo" is a variation in amplitude. I think you mean "Vibrato" (which is a variation in pitch/frequency). There is a Temolo/Vibrato effect (capable of producing both Tremolo and Vibrato effects) available here: http://foru...

Re: Applying effects increases audio file's length, why?
If you mean that you mixed down multiple tracks into one, then you can do that in Audacity (Tracks menu > Mix and Render)avada wrote: I worked around the issue by merging the files in foobar.

Re: How to remove vocals?
Yes.axelthecritic wrote:aren't midis just sequences?
Nothing, except that you asked "Then how are there non-vocal Nyan Cat ringtones?"axelthecritic wrote: What does that have to do with removing vocals?
Midi sequencing is one (very common) way of producing non-vocal ringtones.
