Re: Effect Interpolation/Lead In
You need to use Audacity 1.3.13. There is an effect called "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift". To gradually increase the tempo and then stay at that tempo you would process in 2 sections - the first section would be the gradual speed up and the second section would be the constant new tempo....

Re: Anwida Soft DX - unavailable?
I think it's probably just a glitch with their website - I was on their website recently. Anwida Soft DX reverb (VST version) works better on Audacity 1.3.13 than on the old 1.2.6 version. Just put the plug-in into the Audacity 1.3.13 plug-in folder, then in Audacity go to "Edit menu > Preferen...

Re: 1.3.11 won't recoginize USB headset
I've split and renamed this topic as it really has nothing to do with "Lame" (the topic where this was originally posted). Hopefully "1.3.11" was a typing error in your first post Vanessa. The current version is 1.3.13. You can check the exact version number by looking in the Hel...

Re: 1.3.11 won't recoginize USB headset
If your headset is recognised by Windows then it should be recognised by Audacity 1.3.13.
The headset must be connected to the computer and recognised by Windows before you open Audacity.

Re: The unlisted lame_enc.dll file for Audicity I need help?
I recommend that you use the latest beta version of Audacity (currently 1.3.13) which you can get here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ And download the ZIP version of Lame from here: http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ Uninstall any previously installed versions of Lame for Windows, then Extract the lame_...

Re: Autotune gvst plug in
For Windows, Audacity is usually installed in C:Program FilesAudacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode) This should have a sub-directory called "Plug-ins". Extract the .dll files into that Plug-ins folder. I'm not sure about Win 7, but earlier versions of Windows had a habit of creating a new sub folder ...

Re: pitch contour
Audacity 1.3 has a spectrogram view for each audio track. A spectrogram plots frequency on the vertical axis and time on the horizontal axis. "Intensity" of the sound is represented by a colour shift which by default shows low level sound as blue, louder sounds as red, and loudest sounds a...

If anyone wants a build of Audacity 1.3.14 alpha for Windows 2000 and later that will add installed Nyquist "process" effects to the list of Chain commands (the patch Steve referred to), you can send me a Private Message. With the patch you can use this plug-in to trim silences from start...

Re: exported files not working
When you connect a USB audio device to a Windows computer, Windows automatically allocates both input and output to the USB device. To enable Windows Media player to use your ordinary sound card, go into the Windows Control Panel and in the "Sounds and Audio Devices" section, set the input...
Re: New Guy
In all probability Audacity will not work directly with the Avermedia dvd ezmaker as that device is not capturing an audio stream, but a video stream. The device uses special drivers and software for capturing audio and video together. The most straightforward approach would be to not use that devic...
