Re: Audacity and USB Deck Windows 7

How high/low do you have the recording level for the USB device in the Windows Control Panel? Have you found that setting?

Re: Problems Recording w/ Numark Mixdeck

My guess would be that you would need to connect the "record" output from the Mixdeck to a "Line-in" connection on your computer. A "Mic" input on the computer is not suitable as it will probably be in mono and distort (overload) badly. Many PC laptops only have a "...

Re: Right.. This may be hard to answer

Sorry I think that will be impossible to answer. Something went wrong but it could be almost anything.
Do you still have the original recording?
What, why and how are you "converting it"?

What sort of computer are you using?

Re: Audacity and USB Deck Windows 7

Sorry there's no phone support - Audacity is a free, open source project that is made and supported by enthusiasts in their "spare time". What sort of records are you playing? Some dance/DJ vinyl is made with extremely high recording levels that many USB turntables simply cannot cope with....

However if the files are in a compressed format such as MP3, note that: Audacity only works on uncompressed dat...

Re: DC offset when recording

That's not right is it. Need more information: What is plugged into the Line In? A cassette player? Make/model number is useful. How is it connected (what sort of lead and which "holes" do each plug plug into)? Which version of Windows? What sort of computer? Is this a laptop? Is it a bran...

Re: Convert ASCII string of 1's and 0's to polyphonic sound

I could hear three tones, one after the other (not simultaneous polyphonic), What you are actually hearing is a sequence of three polyphonic tones. Each of the three tones in the sequence is made up of multiple tones. Actually I've just spotted an error in the code - here's a corrected version. Eac...

+1 is right at the top of the audio track - are you sure that's what you mean? Could you post a screen shot?

Re: Silent finder "Nyquist did not return audio"

I just know this will turn out to be something stupidly simple.
Where exactly do you have Audacity installed?
