The first thing that I would check is that the device is set to stereo in the Windows Control Panel: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_t ... ista_and_7
[Update: Oh, - I've just noticed that Gale has already given that link]

Re: live concert cassette to mp3
I exported multiple and now have all the individual mp3 but thisn't what I want That's the way that I would recommend doing it - but with one added step which is to make a playlist for the tracks. When you play the playlist, each song will play in order as if it were one file. This method has been ...

Re: New and Confused to getting this working
In Audacity, go to "Edit menu > Preferences > Devices" and set the Recording device to the USB option.
(This setting is also available in the Device Toolbar if you have that showing).

Re: Recording from soundboard
Do you have PulseAudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) installed? If not, use Synaptic to install it.
Then see here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Stere ... _Ubuntu_10
(this is about Ubuntu 10, but hopefully it is much the same in Ubuntu 11)

Re: Bug : Import 0 Bytes raw audio file causes 1.3.13 to cra
That sounds like it could be the same issue as bug 429 which has now been fixed. However this bug was not specifically about Import Raw. If you could try the Nightly build of Audacity, it should be fixed, but please let us know if the problem remains with your specific test case. Nightly build avail...

No worries, LOTS of people do that
However, if you have any ideas about how we can lay out the forum to make it more obvious which forum board to use, please post your suggestions here.
This is the current layout of the front page (board index). Any suggestions?

Re: New to Audacity & Recording (Noob alert!) Set Up ???s
I use a Zoom H2 digital recorder for this exact purpose (and then edit the recording in Audacity). The Zoom H2 has good built-in microphones and is quick and easy to set up. Just put it on a mic stand, not too close to the drums, set the microphone sensitivity and press record. Then at the end of th...

Re: Blending Hz
Audacity 1.2.x does not support multiple sample rates on the same track, whereas Audacity 1.3.13 does. http://audacityteam.org/download/
(just one of the many improvements in 1.3.12)

Re: 1 Channel Seems To Be Higher Than The Other.....
Unfortunately, clipping is notoriously difficult to repair. In most cases, "repair" will cause as much damage as it fixes, so it's usually not worth the time and trouble, as doing a good repair job is likely to take at least as much time and effort as re-recording. Unlike tape distortion t...

Re: Hotkey to use microphone?
How does "sound interference from the video" get into the recording? Are you using headphones?
