Re: using pitch change app to measure frequency
Not with Audacity. You need something a bit more specialised, such as Sonic VisualizerStuart Gelzer wrote: Is there any way to have the spectrum plotter give results down to the tenth of a Herz?

Re: Editing piano?
As you've posted in the Audacity 1.2.x part of the forum I assume that is what you are using. Audacity 1.2 is really old now and has known problems on modern computers. I'd highly recommend that you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13. http://audacityteam.org/download/ However even Audacity 1.3.13 cannot do ...

Re: uninstalling old version
If it's not in the uninstall list then it's usually sufficient to just delete the audacity program folder. Re: Recording from soundboard
Try rebooting your computer and avoid opening any other audio applications (ensure that you do not have any flash web pages open in your web browser). Open Audacity and with the host set to ALSA, look in the recording drop-down of the Device Toolbar and see what options are available. The Recording ...

Re: AAC export
AAC is the codec. It needs to be in a container, which is usually MPEG-4 audio. A file that has the extension .AAC is usually in an MPEG-4 audio container. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-4_Audio Audacity uses the M4A extension for MPEG-4 audio. If you need a different container format, then you m...
