Re: Trying to Record a Mix from Serato Scratch Live
It was also most like it stopped recording the actual sound from the mixer and started recording a microphone from my laptop, possibly?? This has come up at least once before with the Serato Scratch Live on a Mac. Unfortunately I don't think it has ever been resolved. Is this some weird driver prob...

44100 is not the "bit rate". That's the "sample rate".dksboy wrote:MP3 at 44100
See here how to set the MP3 bit rate: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/MP3_Export_Options
If the bit rate is too low, the sound quality will suffer.

Re: normalizing/compression on large audio files HELP!
As with many Nyquist plug-ins, processing very long shows with Chris's compressor can be very slow. The built-in compressor in Audacity 1.3.13 is very much faster. http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Compressor I'd not recommend the built-in compressor in Audacity 1.2.x Processing very large files ca...

Re: Manuals....
The standard (.exe) installation of Audacity 1.3.13 for Windows includes a recent version of the manual in the Help menu.
There is also a lot of additional help in the Audacity wiki http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Audac ... _Home_Page
