Re: installation's problems
You can disable VST effects in Audacity altogether by following the steps given in Koz's link, but when you get to the step: 2) Open audacity.cfg in a text editor such as Notepad and remove all the content except the line NewPrefsInitialized=1 put (only) the following lines into the audacity.cfg fil...

Re: Need advice on my workflow
OK, got it. You're doing a "cross-fade". There's not yet a "cross-fade" effect in Audacity (it's being worked on), so the procedure has to be done manually. To give you an idea of what we're going to end up with, here's a picture of a cross-fade between a sine wave and pink noise...

Re: (non Audacity) Post-processing trouble
From my old clubbing days I always though Turbosound had some of the best sounding systems around, and a quick scan of their site seems to show their subs go down to around 25Hz. They also make some great out-door rigs. The low frequency range varies depending on the model, but for big subs it's us...

Re: connect electric guitar and keyboard
It's the updated version of the USB device that waxcylinder uses.
It also has an input that is specifically designed for instruments such as electric guitars.
I don't have one but I've spoken to a couple of people that do, and are happy with it.

Re: (non Audacity) Post-processing trouble
The low/high pass filters work in a similar way to (hardware) analogue filters. An attempt at an over-simplified explanation: As the corner frequency is approached there is a gradual phase shift. The result of this is that the peak of a particular frequency components my be in a slightly different p...

Re: (non Audacity) Post-processing trouble
in a big club PA what is the low frequency that makes your chest almost vibrate/resonate? Big club PA systems use (powerful) "bass bins" to produce frequencies down to about 30 Hz, or perhaps a little lower. For example, the (big) JBL SRX728S dual 18" speaker is specified: -10 dB at ...

I don't use Macs or Sound Booth.
What exactly is a "a mix/paste between songs" and how would you do it?
