Re: How to configure Input Device for Recording
There may be a setting hidden away in the Windows Control Panel that sets the number of channels. I don't use Win 7 so I don't know for sure, or exactly where you'll find it if it is there, but see here for an idea of where to look: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Co...

Re: Recording Lag
What sort of microphone are you recording with?
Which version of Windows?
Which (exact) version of Audacity (look in "Help > About Audacity").

Re: Repeating import/export on raw data
You didn't say if your RAW files have a file extension or not. If they do (for example "test.raw") then the BAT script I posted will add ".wav" to the end of the full name to give "test.raw.wav" It would probably be better to just have "test.raw" produce "...

Re: Repeating import/export on raw data
OK, I've tried this on windows and it seems to work. First you'll need to download Sox for Windows, which you can get here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sox/files/sox/14.3.2/sox-14.3.2-win32.exe/download To install it, run the downloaded file. Take care with the step where you choose to extract (...

Re: Repeating import/export on raw data
Unfortunately Audacity does not support batch processing of RAW files. You could do it with a program called Sox , but it is a command line program (it does not have a graphical user interface). If you have any experience of programming, or just writing .bat files, then this will be a good option. I...

Re: Gaps Between Exported Selections Without Silence
One of the limitations of the MP3 format is that there is always a brief period of silence at the beginning of the file. This is not a fault in Audacity, it is a limitation of the MP3 format. Does your MP3 player support any other audio formats? I don't think that Ogg, WMA or AAC have this problem.

Re: Silent Subliminals [solved?]
I have been listening to the silent subliminal messages for two weeks now. still not a slight visible change in me. This forum is about Nyquist programming and Nyquist plug-ins. Whether or not silent subliminal messages have any effect on people is really a question outside of the scope of this for...

Re: How to configure Input Device for Recording
Or, should "Stereo Mix" be providing Audacity with actual Stereo sound (which SHOULD, thus, be recording in stereo -- with each track having it's unique properties -- in Audacity)? It should be providing Audacity with stereo sound, providing that (1) the sound that is playing on the compu...

Re: no keyboard shortcut to "Export as MP3"
In Audacity 1.3.x you just use Alt+F then E.
The export format will default to whatever you used last.
