Re: IMA WAV ADCP from Casio Exilim EX-V7

I've moved the entire thread to the 1.3 part of the forum.

Are you now using Audacity 1.3.13 and the current version of FFMpeg?

Re: MD5sum for v1.2.6 for Windows

There are mirror locations listed on our download pages, though, in other words: http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/files/ SourceForge will by default serve from the mirror closest to your detected location, but it has at least a dozen mirrors. Also we do use my site for Audacity Windows / Ma...

Re: The plugins suddenly disappeared.

Glad you got it fixed. For information purposes - the missing effects were the LADSPA plug-ins. Installing or re-installing the package "swh-plugins" should have put G-Verb and other missing effects back. You should be able to get a full screen screenshot by pressing the PrtSc key on your ...

Re: How can I record a second track?

If Audacity is accessing your sound card directly through ALSA, then it is essential that your sound card is available. Re: The plugins suddenly disappeared.

Which Linux distribution are you using?
How did you install Audacity?
Can you post a screenshot of your Effect menu (or just list all the effects that are there - but a screenshot will be easier :) )

Re: Help Recording Guitars

Avoiding clipping is the same issue regardless of what you are recording. The signal level through all parts of the signal chain must be within the limits of the equipment. That means that the microphone must be able to handle the sound pressure level (SPL) produced by the speaker, the pre-amp must ...

Re: Metadata Export

To some extent that's a matter of personal taste. My personal preference is for foobar2000. It supports just about every audio format and can also convert many audio file types to other file types and is considerably smaller (and faster) than most other alternatives. Other people prefer iTunes, thou...

Re: Shifting my selection

Not in Audacity 1.2 In Audacity 1.3.13: After making the selection, press Ctrl+B to add a region label http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Label_Tracks Then click on the circle at one or other end of the region label and drag it to the new position. For Audacity 1.3.13 go here: http://audacityteam.or...
